Closing another year
I have to sit back and reflect on my life of course. I mean, it is the end of 2008 and this has been a whirlwind of a year with Taylor and Bash. We're making a home in Lewisville, we have amazing friends, and we have a little girl on the way. I can remember great things and sad moments with my stepdad passing over the summer. It's been one blessing after another this year. I have been thinking alot about my son who will be 9 in February. He's such an incredible young man and he brings a smile to my face evertime I think about him. Now that he's almost 9 I constantly reflect on how small he was as a baby and how he would just snuggle up of my chest when he would sleep, well he still likes to snuggle which I am thankful for. What's in store for us in 2009?

Happy Anniversary
2 years already? It has flown by and it just keeps getting better. I really love buying Taylor flowers and these particular flowers are a reminder of our wedding. I used www.cymbidiumflowers.com because of the unique look or their arrangements. These were delivered to Taylor this morning - AWESOME!!!! Well, there's more to come this evening but I can't share that info yet - more to come!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!
Ok, so my initial reaction was, "Oh, Crap!!!" Of course, she'll be spoiled being the first girl in a long line of boys (7 cousins). So I pity the "punk" boy who comes to the house to try and pick her up. I already have her grown up and dating!!! (Deep breath) I'm better now. My mind is racing just as fast as Usain Bolt if not faster. God help me!!

Hard Work
I never realized just how involved video editing is. The easy part is shooting the video and taking photos, then you get to add music, make a cut here or there, and display your work to the world. I just finished a project for school. It was a video Field trip our Science Club went on to a local university. This project turned into a really big project that will have us entered for some awards as well as presenting how we pulled the project together at a Technology Conference in Austin this February. Who knew? I'm really excited about the video and for my first real attempt at it I don't think it's too terrible. Here's the link if you have a few minutes to view it - Let me know what you think.

Red Raider Weekend
We went to Lubbock last weekend for the Texas Tech vs. Nebraska game. We got to spend time with Sebashtian, and Taylor's whole family was there for a mini-reunion. Two of her cousins just started at Tech this fall, her dad, uncle, and myself are Red Raiders, and her grandparents are Huskers so we had a good family rivalry at the game. Grandpa even had to wear the Crab Hat (Michael Crabtree) since his cornhuskers lost.
Expansion project
So it's a good thing we moved into this big house because we are soon going to be filling it up with little feet. Taylor's pregnant and she's due April 6th! We are very excited for the life that was created and is growing inside her. We can't wait to meet our baby. The pregnancy has been great so far and in another month or so we will get to find out the sex of the baby.

Aahh, Fall
So the school year has started with a bang. The first six weeks has already flown by, gosh we've been busy. Not so much with school busyness, but with our amazing small group. We have been so blessed by these friendships and it is really cool to see what God is doing by bringing this group together. These people and what is happening in our relationships is an answer to prayer.
Also our fall has been filled with many football games, we're going to our first Tech game of the season next week when they take on Nebraska. Taylor's parents came to visit and helped us paint the guest room, we still need a couple of things for that room, when it's all finished we'll post pictures.
But the weather has been so gorgeous, we really are enjoying the fall.

Holding Newborns

Just finished reading Skin by one of my new favorite authors, Ted Dekker. I've also read Blink which is also an awesome book.
If you are in to suspense, I would recommend this book. It has a twisted premise built on revenge that will keep you mesmerized by the action taking place from chapter to chapter. Definitely a good read.

Summertime
As I sit here in the calmness of the morning I just realize how incredible and how awesome God is. My son and beautiful wife are sound asleep and it's summer - so we are getting a great break away from school and the stresses of everyday life. Last weekend, Sebashtian hit his first homerun and believe me it was memorable. Check it out!
He's quite fast!

Dry times
Today really was a day of perspective. I realized that I've been mentally absent from my wife and my son. Could be pressure from the work I'm doing or it could just be laziness on my part. Either way, it is affecting everyone involved. I constantly think about my quiet time or lack thereof, I need that time to study the word and pray but it's been hard to find it. Maybe it's just time to grow up and make the necessary sacrifices I need to make for my family's happiness. I can't do it alone so I pray that God would reveal himself to me daily so I can begin to open up to my wife and my son.

Summer!! Please!!
It has been a busy summer and school is over but we are still working. We are in the house and it is going great but there are so many little things to do. I spent the entire day yesterday installing our new TV. It was a learning experience and a pleasant one at that. Just put a couple of holes in the wall, ran the cables and mounted the TV - simple, but I finished about 11pm last night but it looks great. Sebashtian helped a lot with the install and he's learned how to use a power drill. Now the next project.

Just kickin' it
Memorial Weekend is awesome! It's great to have some time to relax and enjoy my beautiful bride. I'm probably going to get in trouble since she is packing for our big move and I'm watching her and the Indianpolis 500, both seem to be pretty exciting! Anyway, I guess I should assert myself to helping her pack; 2 weeks to go before the Johnsons invade Sunset Path!
