Brady's first month

Our first month with our sweet baby boy has been pretty smooth.  We were very blessed to have Chris' mom come for two weeks and then my family for a week and many friends who provided meals also.  Brady is a great eater and a great sleeper.  I think he's gotten the days and nights pretty much figured out now which is much better for mommy and daddy too.  He had a little bit of jaundice that first week and was slow to gain weight like his sisters, but now he has started packing on the pounds.  He put on a whole pound his second week!  Having a boy is very different than girls with eating, bath time and diaper changes.  We've had a few diaper incidents but not any lately, fortunately.

can you see how he's grown?!
 Campbell loves holding Brady
"I ho baby now?" she asks multiple times a day

He loves sleeping on his side
 1st bath
I think he liked it, there were no tears
Both big sisters had to help
Brady got lots of good snuggles from his Pops and Pops was so wonderful to take the 3 am shift about 3 nights in a row which really helped Mommy
I love that he fell asleep with his hand holding up his chin :)

Brady was invited to a tea party with his sisters, they made an exception and allowed a boy :)
The picture doesn't quite show how cute this outfit is - Brady looked so handsome all dressed up for a party.
Then the girls had to pile in the picture - of course they won't all three look and smile at the same time.  Piper and Campbell sure do love Brady though.  When he cries Cam says "baby ky-an (crying)" and Piper starts singing him lullabies.  They love to stick his passy in his mouth and kiss and rub his head.  I know they will be the best big sisters to him!

Piper's 4th Birthday

Piper's 4th birthday was a week after Brady was born.  That morning we let her open 2 presents and then she opened 2 more when she got home from daycare that day.  She got a gymnastics outfit and two nightgowns from mommy and daddy.  Campbell and Bash got her two books from Barnes and Noble.  In February when it was Bash's birthday Piper wanted to get him a book since he loves to read so we waited until he came at spring break and we took him to Barnes and Noble to pick out a book.  There is a wedding sticker book that Piper has had her eye on for about 3 months.  She picks it up and looks at it everytime we go and always asks to get it.  My answer is "well put it on your list and maybe you'll get it for your birthday(or christmas, whichever holiday is coming up)".  That day she told Bash that she wanted him to get her that book for her birthday and when she opened the present from him she was so touched, she said, "he remembered!"  It was precious!
About 2 weeks after her birthday we celebrated with a princess pampering party.  We had just a few friends come over.  They got to dress up in a princess dress, have their nails painted and some make-up put on, and there were many princess toys out to play with.
Grammy and Piper as Snow White

Before the party started Grammy surprised us by getting in her princess costume!  It was a hit! And we couldn't have pulled off the party without her help, especially in the food prep.  Thanks Grammy!

Later that weekend Piper got a new bike from Grammy and Pops.  She was so excited (not sure if you can see that smile sneaking out from under the curls.)  It's pink and purple - her favorite colors - and it has a bell.  But best of all it's big enough for her growing legs.

She hopped right on and took off!
Of course little sis took this opportunity to jump on the old bike and she's trying so hard to learn to pedal.  Campbell has to be just like Piper.
We love our 4 year old girl - she's getting so big and we love the person she's becoming.  She's helpful and kind to her siblings.  She loves to learn and show off her pre-reading and writing skills. And my favorite skill (as pictured above) the ability to match her clothes in acceptable pairs :).  Piper you are a joy and we love you so much!! XOXO - Mommy and Daddy

Easter

We began our Easter celebrations with a party at daycare.  Ms. Joyce shared the resurrection story and then the kids hunted for eggs.
 And they're off!
Grandma and Daddy went to the party
Sisters going for the same egg
The joy of finding an egg!
On Easter Sunday Grammy had a layover at the airport so we got to pick her up and have a quick lunch with her.  She was super excited to get to meet Brady.
We also had an egg hunt in the backyard.  Even though we didn't make it church (not with a 5 day old baby) we still enjoyed celebrating Easter and being grateful for the life we have.
